S1000D™ Industry Practitioners to Speak at Inmedius® Sponsored Seminar
The Next Generation of Technical Publishing
April 17, 2007, Havant, Hampshire UK

PITTSBURGH, PA – April 4, 2007  Inmedius is pleased to host The Next Generation of Technical Publishing, a dynamic and informative seminar. The unique event will feature two S1000D™ industry insiders who will share their expertise and first-hand project and Inmedius software experiences. The free Inmedius sponsored seminar also offers an opportunity to dialogue with colleagues face-to-face, learn about real word solutions to today’s technical publishing challenges, and to view product demonstrations.

Mr. Bruce Brooke, Business Development Manager, Northrop Grumman Technical Services (NGTS), Life Cycle Optimization and Engineering Group (LCOE) will open the seminar with a dynamic discussion of S1000D™ in Practice. Brooke will focus on his extensive experience utilizing Inmedius solutions with high profile S1000D™ projects. Mr. Brooke has been with Northrop Grumman since 1991 and has been involved with Commercial and Department of Defense (DoD) Technical Data Publications software development, configuration management, conversion, production and distribution since 1984.

The session, Data Efficiency by Design will be presented by Mr. Alan Jackson, Lead Technical Author, New Integrated Marines Communications Information System (NIMCIS), General Dynamics UK. Mr. Jackson will outline how Inmedius helped General Dynamics achieve its efficiency goals, making NIMCIS the model for future programmes. He will also explain how NIMCIS came about and its BOWMAN roots. General Dynamics is a prime contractor and complex systems integrator working in partnership with the UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD) and other allies. The company’s contract with the Royal Netherlands Navy to supply NIMCIS, equipped the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps (RNLMC) with secure integration into the MOD’s BOWMAN C4I system; providing state of the art, transformational voice and data capability.

The Inmedius Approach presentation by Michael Ingledew, Managing Director, Inmedius UK, previews an in-depth Product Briefing highlighting the Inmedius S1000D™ Publishing Suite™ (including recently released S1000Dimpact™, Seamless Change Management Solution), Advisor™ (SGML/XML Quality Assurance Solution), and newly announced Inmedius IConvert™ (XML conversion software). Attendees will then be among the first to see what Inmedius has on the near horizon for Professionally Managed Content. An optional afternoon session, following a complimentary luncheon, offers the opportunity to further network and dialog with seminar presenters and attendees, while viewing live product demonstrations.
