MapInfo® Chief Operating Officer Michael Hickey Joins Inmedius™ Board of Directors

PITTSBURGH, PA – February 21, 2006  Inmedius, Inc., with a mission of delivering solutions to organizations that capture, create, manage and deploy technical information assets, today announced that Michael Hickey, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at MapInfo, has joined the Company’s Board of Directors.

“Mike brings an incredible wealth of business knowledge and experience to Inmedius from having effectively driven MapInfo’s global growth through the creation and development of new business units and core competencies that excelled and gained a competitive advantage in the marketplace. He also has a history and proficiency at re-engineering business processes to be market and customer driven,” said Gary Schaffer, Inmedius’ CEO. “We’re excited to have Mike join our team, and know he is going to be a terrific asset on our Board as we continue to expand Inmedius’ product offerings and market penetration globally.”

As COO at MapInfo, Hickey is responsible for worldwide operations and leads the company’s global alignment of resources -- people, process and systems. Functionally, Hickey has responsibility for each of MapInfo’s Strategic Geographic Business Units, Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Data. While at MapInfo, he has held a number of executive management positions, including; Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Group Vice President of Operations, and Vice President and General Manager of MapInfo’s Information Business. In addition, Hickey has led MapInfo’s Operational Excellence initiative, introducing business management disciplines and driving continuous improvement through its operations.

Prior to joining MapInfo in 1995, Hickey worked at AlliedSignal for nine years in various management positions. He developed functional experience in sales, industry marketing, product management and business planning. As part of AlliedSignal's Total Quality Initiative (TQM), Hickey was certified as a Total Quality Master.

Hickey is currently on the national Board of Directors for AeA and serves as Chairman for AeA’s New York Council Executive Committee. Additionally, Hickey also serves on the Board of Associate Trustees of Siena College and the Board of the Albany Chamber of Commerce. He previously served on the board of the American Marketing Association, Editorial Board of Business Geographics and on the Board of IA Systems. Hickey holds an MBA from the State University of New York at Albany and BS in Marketing and Management from Siena College.
