DITA Storm™ Desktop Released
Standalone, DITA Editor with Single Source Publishing
The complete standalone XML editing solution, Desktop easily creates and publishes DITA documents in a self-contained environment on a single workstation. Installed locally on the end user’s computer, files are accessed, edited, saved and published from local or network drives, regardless of Internet connectivity. With WYSIWYG editing capabilities, authors with little or no DITA or XML knowledge can create valid, structured content in Desktop’s intuitive authoring environment.

Desktop fills a major void in the current market by providing an affordable, standalone XML editor with out-of-the-box DITA functionality. It is the first multi-platform DITA editor that runs on Mac OS™, Windows Vista™, Windows® and Linux® operating systems.

From the convenience of your desktop and in one simple solution, quickly and easily create and publish DITA-compliant documentation from a single source to multiple popular output formats. Learn More

ATA Civil Aviation Tech Doc Solution
Liebherr-Aerospace Implements Inmedius Horizon™
Utilizing Horizon, an XML content management system, Inmedius is delivering a revolutionary new methodology to create, maintain and publish ATA iSpec 2200 data. German-based Liebherr-Aerospace is our first client to formally manage ATA data utilizing the system’s productivity tools.

Horizon enables Liebherr to assign, manage and publish ATA data in a controlled, segmented way. Authors work on specific assigned page blocks, tasks or fragments within an Aircraft or Component Maintenance Manual, or Service Bulletin. This new methodology is a dramatic improvement for the comprehensive management of a technical documentation department.

Through the implementation and integration of both the ATA iSpec 2200 in Horizon, and the S1000D Publishing Suite, Liebherr-Aerospace supports multiple client and spec requirements. Read Press Release
