Java Developers
Inmedius is a software product and software services company headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA with operating locations in the U.S., Germany, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and India. Java software developer positions are available at our southern Maryland location.

Inmedius is looking to expand its technical staff with J2SE Application Developers who will build Java software applications and web services for use in a state-of-the-art system that supports Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) operations worldwide.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform modular subsystem decomposition and component-based software design.
• Perform object-oriented analysis and design using software engineering practices and current modeling tools such as UML.
• Implement stand-alone, distributed, and enterprise software applications in Java using commercial and open source application frameworks.
• Develop test cases and perform unit testing on Java software components and integration testing on Java applications.
• Draft technical documentation for developed components and applications.
• Help develop and refine standards for software lifecycle management, including design, development, documentation and issue tracking.

General Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science and 2+ years work experience in Java.
• Object-oriented design and programming skills.
• Strong experience with Java programming language.
• Experience with the Eclipse integrated development environment.
• Experience with SQL and data access using relational DBMS.
• Experience with Java application frameworks.
• Experience with XML is highly desired.
• Good communication skills; technical writing and developer support experience a plus.

Additional Requirements of J2SE Application Developers:

• Experience using the Eclipse Rich Client Platform to build graphical user interfaces.
• Experience modeling an application’s persistent relational data and using SQL to access an RDBMS via JDBC.
• Experience with XSLT.
• Experience with Junit.
• Experience with implementing and consuming Java web services in a services-oriented architecture.
